I did not appreciate until I got older how my Dad, born and raised in Canada (who subsequently became a U.S. citizen), but the American Flag out every single day.
The United States didn’t have an income tax until 1913 and became one of the most powerful nations on earth in the span of less than 150 years. The government has grown exponentially since then, aided by The Fed, and almost every aspect of our society is riddled with corruption.

My takeaway from the most recent scary, terrible thing to happen during a traffic stop is the same as it's always been. There's no good reason to have 90% of traffic stops in a world where the police can run your tags and text a ticket to the owner of the car.
