#MondayMood as we prepare to welcome the month of March, the transition month from the gray of winter to the vibrant colors of spring. A month when outdoor festivals are celebrated with exuberant joy.

St. Patrick's Day is one of the most popular festivals in March. A cultural & religious event celebrated in more countries around the world on March 17, it's the one day each year when everyone is Irish, if not by ancestry but at least in spirit.

Holi, the Festival of Colors, takes place March 8th, 2023. It's an ancient tradition & also one of the most popular festivals in Hinduism. It signifies the triumph of good over evil & it's celebrated w/ unbridled joy & enthusiasm. During Holi, people play w/ colors.

#LasFallas in #Valencia, #Spain is one of those festivals U cannot miss in your lifetime. The 5-day extravaganza in March is a fun-filled event that artfully combines tradition & satire. It features fireworks, parade & sculptures that are displayed before they are set ablaze.

#TuesdayTrivia. Did you know? Historians believe the oldest celebration of #MardiGras in America was in Mobile, Alabama. And did you know? Shrove Tuesday is also called Pancake Day in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and Canada.

Dubbed the ultimate Carnival, Mardi Gras is marked by garishly attired revelers & exuberant parties. In the USA, New Orleans is synonymous w/ Mardi Gras, culminating on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 21 this year. New Orleans has been celebrating this raucous festival since the 18th century.

This year's Carnival of Venice culminates on Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 21, the day before Ash Wednesday. The world-famous festival is spectacular for its colorfully elaborate costumes & masks. Masks are a very important feature of this Italian carnival when people gather for revelry.

Brazil's #RioCarnival is a never-miss festival. The world's biggest party, it attracts 2 million people per day on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. Revelers, floats, samba parades, from the legendary Rio Carnival Parade 2 the Carnival Ball, it's a party like no other!

Some of the world's most colorful, liveliest & most fun festivals take place or culminate the day before the start of Lent, a time 4 fasting & abstinence. #MardiGras, the Carnival of Venice culminate on Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent 4 Christians.
