Great News! An Bord Pleanála have refused permission for the developer's plans for Wilton Square. Their plans for three new office have been approved. So they are happy, the residents and community are happy that an historic park has been saved for now.
independent.ie/irish-news/pol… So govt. departments and Ministers are passing the buck etc., failing to regulate short term letting. Here’s a map of the distribution of 28+ day/year full Property day AirBnBs source insideairbnb.com. Ministers representing Landlord as usual.
That is really good news. Ignoring the status of the Park does raise serious questions. Happy to support @CByrneGreen on this at Area Committee and will include @KevinDonoghue
This is great news! Well done to all the residents in your fight. Is this the final ABP decision or the inspectors report? I'm also at a loss as to DCC's previous decision. Let me ask again. Let's hope ABP see sense in protecting our built heritage.
Not an image the developers are presenting to ABP, to whom they are claiming their 'tea room' is appropriate for a historic park. This shinny image with the bright lights is from their web site,to attract investors. Which is it? an almost invisible pavilion or a big bright light?
Deadline for Observations to ABP, extended to 19 March 2019. Use your voice to stop the destruction and commercialisation of Wilton Square an historic Georgian Park in a conservation area.
Famous Former Resident's of 'Wilton Park(sic) A New City Quarter(sic)' #4: Morrissey's Cat(1994?-1995) Celebrity Friend. Moz lived in the area in the 90s where he befriended cat. Tragically the cat was killed on Lad Ln. Moz describes the tragic friendship in his Autobiography
More coverage of community opposition to the destruction of one of Dublin's few intact Georgian Parks. Why are @linkedin supporting this? herald.ie/news/protests-… dublincity.ie/AnitePublicDoc…
If you would little to add your voice to the appeal against Developers's plans to destroy and commercialise a 180 year old Georgian park Wilton square, anyone can do this by making observations An Bord Pleanala instructions here: pleanala.ie/guide/observat…
