Christmas Day was Dad's last day and due to an outbreak it will be at least 25th Jan before he'll see his wife again. He hasn't tested positive and is fully jabbed and LFTd regularly. How is this "living with Covid"?

How would you feel if you had to isolate for 14 days after going out for Coffee or Xmas dinner (just because you aren’t fully vaccinated).Apparently this is the latest guidance for Care Home Residents💔. I don’t think this is proportionate/fair @RobinSwannMoH?#MentalHealthMatters
Sad to see the guidance limiting numbers of visitors to residents in care homes -and that more guidance is issued about such critical issues without consultation with people drawing on or working in care. Places more stress on our teams and families #carehomes @JohnCampaign

Just had wkly stats for visitors in our #carehomes. 1001 visits, majority of those in room, others preferring other communal area, some still preferring trip out, outdoor meet or a screened/protected visit. Visiting/ECGs being reinforced regularly too in all comms @JohnCampaign
2 days earlier, I was trying to stay 2m away from my mum at my dad’s burial after he died of Covid (no funeral as churches were closed). However, I had to hold her up when her legs buckled with the sheer upset. Just mum and I buried him. We had neither cheese nor wine.

Dominic Raab defended this picture because they were "having a drink after the formal business has been done". In that same lockdown a care worker who had just finished her shift was fined £200 for sitting alone in her car at a local beauty spot.
Imagine that you couldn’t attend the funeral of someone you loved and then you see the Deputy Prime Minister defending Downing Street drinks because *they’d* had a gruelling day?! To those of you who don’t have to imagine I am truly sorry. The PM is a disgrace.
