And a last hurrah before leaving the rabbit world! This was such a fun experience for me. Enjoy! 🐇🐇

BONUS EPISODE ALERT! We pick up where we left off last week by exploring rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV). Dr. Robyn Hall @Virologica of @CSIRO takes us through the ins and outs of this deadly virus and what the emergence of a new type means for rabbit populations globally

I keep reading papers that misuse model selection by AIC. If you add a parameter to a linear model and the fit doesn't improve at all, the more complex model will be 2 AIC units higher - ergo being within 2 AIC of a simpler model is evidence of nothing. In the reverse case, /1

This will get bugger-all attention, because it's 'just bees'... But it should have everyone ropeable. We live on an island. We knew about the impact of Varroa. We have a biosecurity apparatus. And it failed. Miserably. We now have a new, endemic pest abc.net.au/news/2023-09-2…

This study has recently gone viral, with people saying that it shows that nearly 20% of highly vaccinated people get Long COVID I don't think it's reasonable to draw these conclusions based on this research. Let's talk about bias 1/n
