The ability to inspire, lead, manage and coach remote teams to drive outcomes will be a valuable superpower. Just this week alone, have seen 2 companies part ways with C-level execs because their coaching style didn’t translate to a remote environment, leading to missed goals.
As a capable PM, reporting to someone who understands the really hard parts of your job is highly valuable. Such a manager readily sees your unique impact without needing you to manage up all the time. And all this is usually only possible if this manager has been a top-notch PM.
