Please no wipes in pipes. We had a sewer spill today because a sewer line was blocked with a collection of flushed wipes & paper towels. Please do your part in helping us protect the environment by always disposing of wipes & paper towels in the trash & NEVER in the toilet.

We currently have 2 rivers in Moderate flood stage: Tar River at Tarboro and Neuse River near Goldsboro. Please be mindful of flood roadways and don't forget "turn around don't drown!"

You may have noticed its been raining a lot. During wet periods Falls Lake pulls double duty by providing 80% of our drinking water and storing excess stormwater to reduce flooding in downstream communities. The lake is 8' abv normal pool, but still has storage capacity remaining

Got this from a concerned citizen today. 2200 block of Millbank Street in Raleigh. A silt fence can not do its job if you run over it. If you see this happing please let me know. @Raleigh_Water @NCDEQ

As lawmakers gear up for 2021’s long session in the North Carolina General Assembly, they would be prudent to consider this record-setting storm season as a dire and urgent recitation of the old adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” newsobserver.com/opinion/articl…

I am calling on @NCDEQ @Michael_S_Regan to work with us and municipalities across the state to update NC’s Pollution Spill Notification System to keep people and waterways safe. Please join me in asking for this common-sense update. actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-d…
