A campaign calling on the chancellor to guarantee funding for a whole of West Yorkshire tram network gets underway today. Posters will go up across the county aiming to build support. The government says mass transit plans are part of their £1.3b investment in local transport.
We’re doing this properly: We know that no tram line will be built without the Chancellor’s say so. That’s why, as a Leeds resident, we took over her local paper today to ask for a fully funded network up front. No ifs no buts

🔵Our blue plaque for The Battle of Holbeck Moor has been permanently affixed to St Matthew's Community Centre. The plaque was unveiled on an easel on 29th September and we are pleased to see it hung on the community centre wall, overlooking the area where the event took place.
