The journey towards equality for all women begins with a single step. Let us continue to make every step that we can. Caption by Andrei Benedict

Through education, we spark conversation. Conversation leads to action. Action leads to the change that we hope to see for all women across all fields and countries.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, UP ACTS encourages everyone to expand their horizons. This is a battle to be fought not just by women, but by society. Throughout and after March, let us all continue to inform ourselves and others on the hurdles that women face.

yet must still fight for their basic rights to safe work conditions and just compensation. Our weavers, who spend years mastering the art of their craft yet are unable to make ends meet because of a lack of financial support from the government.

since time immemorial. The Philippines is no exception. Our farmers grow the fibers used for our clothing, yet still face a persisting stigma that belittles their societal contribution. Our seamstresses and garment manufacturers are directly responsible in creating our clothes

As a society, we have come a long way in both recognizing, respecting, and reciprocating the contributions that women make, and that is definitely worthy of celebration. Yet, the battle is far from over. All around the world, women still face issues that have been plaguing them

As Women’s History Month continues, The UP Association of Clothing Technology Students continues to stand in solidarity with all the diverse, inspiring women around the world who constantly shake the table & break the glass ceiling as they celebrate their femininity&make HERstory
