We appreciate @GovNedLamont for acknowledging the invaluable and incredibly important work of our nation's family caregivers - including the 420,000 here in CT - by proclaiming that November 2024 is “Family Caregivers Month” in Connecticut. spr.ly/6017scGyX

Horsebarn Hill is one of UConn’s iconic vistas whether in winter, spring, summer, or fall. Now, those views are immortalized as fine art in a display at @JorgensenUConn through December 14. today.uconn.edu/2024/11/in-ple…

It has long been considered lucky to see a robin in your garden, possibly because there is an old belief that robins hold the spirits of loved ones. The saying ‘robins appear when loved ones are near’ surely becomes more special as we head towards December. #LegendaryWednesday

Today we honor/thank those who’ve served, past & present. My dad served in the Marines 1940-46. His last post, in the Marine Detachment aboard the U.S.S. LeJeune, began in 1944 immediately after D-Day. The photos: Dad in his uniform, its overcoat, w staff, and the ship.

An update from @toitravthorntv on yesterday's reporting: nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/nor…

A bit of trouble for voters in North Stonington where 1144 early voting ballot envelopes were not validated (signed) as required by state law. Officials have been scrambling to get those voters back to sign their ballots. As of this am, there were 350-380 left. @NBCConnecticut

Reminder: if you voted by mail, CHECK YOUR BALLOT STATUS. If it's not accepted, go to the polls and request a provisional ballot with receipt. You MUST do that today if your mail ballot has not been accepted.

A friend of mine flying to Brazil took this photo of Christ the Redeemer, presumably from the plane window. Isn't it marvellous.
