Somto Slam Count: 3

Asa was 2-2 at the half including 1 3ptr. Expect to see him get a little more involved in the offense in the second half

RJ has to figure out how to consistently stay on the floor without fouling! Love seeing Somto get consistent minutes though

Watching the tangible difference Clemson's atmosphere had tonight on their game makes me wish of what could be in Athens They've continually invested in their long-standing Coliseum over the last decade and the dividends show

It'll be ironic if the only win the ACC gets tonight is Tech over a ranked Oklahoma

Up to #37 on Kenpom!

Key Takeaways from the ND game: 1) This team goes as far as Asa takes them 2) Gotta keep Silas and Tyrin healthy. When they were both on the bench offense went stagnant 3) Gotta play inside out basketball. Shot a lot of early 3s. Found a rhythm after the first break

UGA is ranked #27 for reference

A historic look at the % of teams in the season-opening NET rankings who make the NCAAT (keep in mind the NET era is only six seasons old & I excluded 2020): Top 10: 97% (47/50) Top 20: 89% (89/100) Top 30: 84.7% (127/150) Top 40: 79% (158/200) Top 50: 72% (180/250)

As a Somto Slam enthusiast, I am thoroughly enjoying this game!

Kam Jones averaged 22.6ppg heading into this weekend... held to 10pts Stevie Mitchell had 18 & 21 against Maryland and Purdue... held to 7pts RJ Luis averaging 17.3... held to 13pts Excluding Marquette's bigs, players this weekend were 3-26 from deep! This team can guard!

Can't wait to see what this team looks like next month when De'Shayne Montgomery becomes eligible

If you'd had given me these stats before the game I'd have bet the house on the Johnnies. Made FTs - UGA: 13, St. Johns: 23 Turnovers - UGA: 24, St. Johns: 15 Off Rebounds: UGA: 13, St. Johns: 21 Newell, Godfrey, Cain all foul out

What a game! Wasn't perfect but clear signs of growth on the offensive end and relentless physically throughout

Second game in a row of elite perimeter defense. St John's is 0-9 from deep at half

Gotta just take the dead ball turnover there...

Love the physicality on both ends of the court early!

13 second half turnovers ended up being the difference. Gold and Joplin shooting 10-20 from deep also didn't help. Regroup and come out strong tomorrow!

Even if the shots aren't falling, keeping up intensity on the defensive end will keep you in it

Marquette has 1 foul in the second half. Marquette has done a good job of mixing up defensive looks and taking away what was working in the first
