We show annual Sierra Nevada evapotranspiration scaled from flux-tower data to be a central metric of water-balance change & variability, also key to diagnosing uncertainties in catchment precipitation & discharge.

Visited the amazing French Meadow restoration project in @Tahoe_NF being done w/ partners @PlacerWater @PlacerCA, @Conserve_CA, @ARConservancy, @ucmerced, @CA_CECS, @CAsWatershed & more. It takes a partnership to restore a forest!

Notes from the field! Time well spent visiting overstocked forests, restoration thinning, and wildfire aftermath sites in the Sierra Nevada. Thanks to @rbalesuc; @Duchess_Cha and Han Gou. Great outing, can't wait for the next trip!

Solar over canals has many co-benefits. It may not be cheaper than putting solar on sensitive natural lands or productive farmland, but it's better & can provide so much more. abc7news.com/california-wat… via @abc7newsbayarea @TurlockID @SpencerABC7 @SolarAquaGrid

Very exciting project, with multiple benefits for TID, the region & the state!

TID has been selected to pilot first-in-the-nation project involving solar panels over canals, called Project Nexus. Project Nexus could contribute to a more water resilient future for California and position the State to meet its ambitious clean energy goals.
