By choosing authoritarianism, Georgian Dream crossed red lines. No democracy - no national unity, no western path. Won’t watch this happen. Returning to active politics. Will serve the mission of our western choice with my friends and the Georgian people.
Gigi Ugulava, leader of European Georgia, was arrested today and sentenced to 38 months in prison for an old crime he’s already served time over. To say this is disturbing would be an understatement. Using courts as a weapon is NOT democracy.
Our western friends are not agreeing to invite Georgia because they don’t want to provoke Russia. But Georgia needs us and we need an ally like Georgia. So we need enlargement and Georgia should be made a member - Turkey’s Foreign Minister @MevlutCavusoglu
