Folks, TRUTH divides. It separates itself from falsehood. It exposes. It sanctifies. It pierces and heals. It reveals. It tests. It corrects. It reproves. It takes a stand. It edifies. It sets free! Let this sink in. 1/

No amount of sophistry can negate what Apostle Paul has warned us about Those that DESIRE TO BE RICH will enter trouble Let God be true and let every man be a liar Desire to do God's will for your life. Let God decide if He will make you rich or not. He will take care of you.

Amen

Christians, If you believe in your heart that men are fundamentally superior to women, you hold a sinful belief Repent If you believe that men and women don't have different roles in God's household and God didn't elect for different services, your belief is sinful Repent.

GM fam. Explain #U2U in 3 words 👇

P. Sam, this your implication is forced and assumptive. Vs 16 doesn't negate the argument of women being homemakers. The real question is "what is the requirement and implication of being a worker at home?" Secondly, your last sentence is a fat assumption. Please don't do that.

The idea that the place of a woman is ONLY in the home is not in the Bible sha. Proverbs 31:16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. Furthermore, it's just rich Christian people talk where daddy's income is more than enough.

This is poorly worded or maybe this is exactly what this fellow really wanted to communicate. Hence, the backlash is to be expected and mostly rightly so. However, there is something he seemed to be getting at, and some responses justify the lost substance of his tweet.

Young lady, don’t waste your most fertile years in pursuing a Masters Degree, find you a husband & get married instead. You’ll thank me later.

Nonsense deviation.

Thank God my church members didn't post the gifts they got me here. Them for say make I sell them give to the poor 😪

Isn't this what many cessationists believe?

There’s nothing wrong with healthy skepticism. If you hear an incredulous claim, you can and should request for evidence to back up the assertion. And if it turns out to be true, we give God glory. The only person above scrutiny is The Almighty.

What a naive and ignorant utterance. Is it the grand patron of prosperity gospel that you are foolishly defending? Are you a Christian?

Papa Oyedepo has raised men, who have you raised? WHO HAVE YOU RAISED, you fool?

Yesterday, the grand patron of the prosperity gospel in Nigeria marked his 70th birthday anniversary. I pray that my faithful pentecostal brethren alongside other faithful brethren will grow to a level of exposing false teachers like David Oyedepo. May we be fearless and loving.

How to know if you have idolised the gift of tongues. How to know that you have loved the gift more than the giver. Practice it in your local church exactly how Paul commanded it in 1 Cor 14. Obey God exactly. If you can't, you have an idol. You're not worshipping God.

They’re cooking Pastor Fiyin for calling out the obvious, and asking for reflection. We’ve truly made tongues a golden calf. God will help us.

"It's not by "regulating" the wrong thing." This!!!!!

Praying in/with the spirit/Spirit begins from meditating on God's word, not from "activating/leading the spirit" - speaking gibberish. Yes, it is an idol. WE TOLD YOU. The conversation about the nature of tongues is still in question. It's not by "regulating" the wrong thing.

This is where the problem is. A weakness of these dear folks.

While we are at it, pray. Pray often. Pray in your understanding. Pray in tongues. Pray long. If you can't pray, pray about it. If you can't pray often, pray about it. If you can't pray long, pray about that too. Pray. Pray long and in tongues. Pray!

😂 We see it too, the impact.

There are plenty Well-read , very theological, knowledgeable in Greek , Hebrew , Aramaic , educated in church history charismatic/pentecostal Nigerian pastors . We are not few . We are plenty . We just don’t advocate a rude , divisive method to theological scholarship .

Oh yes, JMac's basis for interpreting chapter 14 was already established in chapter 12, and it was valid. I only look at his subsequent tongues distinction as a stretch, not ill-intended but a stretch nonetheless. However, the bulk of his treatise was legitimate. My point.

I think @gbolahan_raje asked me about it a while back when the tongues discussion was hot (I hope to find the tweet somehow), and I think I stated why his interpretation of some of the verses is most likely not correct. Looking back now, I think I understand how JMac did his…

Aha! That exact verse 31 of 1 Cor. 12. Listen to this clip.
