It's World Mental Health Day! This year, focusing on prioritising mental health in the workplace. As part of our commitment to this, our staff team are all trained Mental Health First Aiders through the fantastic training provided by @MHFAEngland #WMHD2024

Last Wednesday, our craft group made gorgeous Dreamcatchers! If you'd like to have a go with our craft group, just pop in to The Shires Community Hub on Wednesday between 11am and 1pm. Totally free and all equipment provided - no crafty experience required 🎨🐚🪵

Our team has gained a new member: Fumié Izaki! Fumié is our new Fundraiser, so will be helping to bring in much-needed funds to our charity. We are so grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for funding this position.

Nariman's Cultural Cookery Sessions started up again last Wednesday! The group cooked a delicious roasted veg and potato meal, with Nariman's signature lip-smacking Egyptian flavours! Here's Andrew seasoning the stew 🧅🥕🌶 Thank you so much to @Hubbub for funding the sessions!

So, now that we have launched, we would love to invite everybody to see our new Community Hub! In our smaller hub, we struggled to accommodate our provisions in the smaller hub. But now, we have a unit purposefully designed with our visitors in mind, for everybody's comfort.

Nationwide UK have been instrumental in helping us secure and open our larger Community Hub! Ben Betteridge from our local branch came by to celebrate the opening. This year, Nationwide has awarded a total of £5.1 million to 105 housing related projects across the UK!
