The Lost Bass Project

@TracingTheBass

The Lost Bass is a global project, dedicated to tracing Paul McCartney's missing Höfner bass. We set out in Sept 2023. In Feb 2024 we announced: "It's back!"

Within days of the theft the press coverage made the stolen bass 'too hot to handle'. It was taken to Ron Guest who ran a pub in Ladbroke Grove, who agreed to hide then buy the most famous bass guitar in the world. The stolen goods stayed in the Guest family for over 50 years.
