i know who i'm rooting for in the world series
It’s time to retire Kevin Cash taking out Blake Snell as a talking point
watching teams get bounced in two days after playing almost 200 days worth of 90-win and/or division-winning baseball really makes me feel like we undervalue the regular season and that every series, all of them, should be 7 games
My gateway into baseball was playing as the Oakland A's in MVP Baseball 2003. I attended the Coliseum before I ever got to go to Oracle. I was almost an A's fan before I ended up a Giants fan. This shit makes me feel old, sad, and defeated all at once.
Okay, gonna break my silence now... This is why proper accreditation is important. One of the biggest ESPN personalities, one of the biggest baseball reporters, and that is my graphic on the screen. Stolen I mostly didn't care to this point, but this is disappointing
"The Rowdy Tellez situation happens when ownership doesn't treat things seriously.. Why do the Pittsburgh Pirates have an $86M payroll to start the season" ~ @JeffPassan #PMSLive
maybe bob shoulda held that team meeting, like, months ago
Stayed up until 12:30am to watch my eliminated team win a meaningless game because I love baseball and I'm gonna miss it dearly when it's gone
in 2022 when i got to meet some of the rivercats, heliot was SO sweet to me, he didn’t have to but he took the time to come out and introduce himself and chat with me🥲 dave’s implication that heliot doesnt deserve giants fans love is SO disrespectful and just completely wrong.
this is so freaking weird and gross, reducing humans to their sports accomplishments
go ahead and add the Chapman thing to this list I guess. I *been* saying Baggs is just a drama/hitpiece farm with a thesaurus
Pinch hitting for Belt once got it's own article where he cornered Belt into saying "yes I think I could have got a hit there" as some kind of mic drop the playing cards in the clubhouse bit the "brandon crawford was done so horribly wrong by the Giants" article
As we all know, recurring arm injuries tend to completely disappear as you get older
there are replies to this tweet adamant Bryce wont touch AAA until 2 to 3 years from now anyways
wanna hear something funny Fangraphs' spring evaluation has Eldridge listed as a 2028 ETA for MLB
Not only this exactly, but people are discounting Fitz' involvement due to "learning" or "inexperience" and that same benefit of the doubt is not being extended to the other guy involved in the play, who is in the exact same state of "learning" and "inexperience"
Tyler Fitzgerald has 10 errors at SS in only 475 innings and has been involved in countless plays just like that, but in the other side with Chapman. Who do we really think is the problem here? Not to mention his .954 FP is barely a step above Luciano.
If any part of Bob Melvin thinks that was Luciano's fault, then I'd kindly ask he deliver his opinions to a wall. I don't trust him to assess the situation correctly particularly when it involves the young future of the team
On the pop-up, Fitzgerald couldn’t hear Luciano calling for it. Luciano said he did, but it was loud at Petco. Both wish they would have had their conversation in a more private setting. Melvin called the whole thing “unacceptable” and said it won’t happen again.
He'll need to go the rest of the year without allowing a single run before MLB even considers him as a reliever of the week/month candidate
The Giants won 7-6. They were on the verge of imploding, but Ryan Walker saved the day. He hasn't allowed an earned run in 14 innings since becoming the closer.
If you're blaming that dropped pop up on Luciano, I am assuming you are judging based on rep because you didn't actually watch the play. If you DID watch it, please, explain to me how that was not 100% the fault of Fitz. I can't believe this is debatable
Going to walker for a 5 out save in this super important meaningful game
Crazy how fast Doval went from lockdown closer to "not sure he'll get the closer job back" to "how many innings will he spend in Sacramento in 2025"
Following a rough 1-for-41 stretch to start his High-A career, Tibbs has 6 hits (2 HR) and 2 walks in his last 22 at bats. He’s starting to adapt to the level, which is a good sign for his outlook next season.
