Charles Taylor, chief inspector of prisons, said on Tues need to release prisoners early was sign of pressure jails under, situation entirely predictable and it was time for urgent conversation about who goes to prison, for how long, and what happens during their time inside.
So the Prime Minister has just blatantly lied in #PMQs! High risk of harm prisoners are being released. DV perps are being released. The public is at risk from this scheme. And it is likely to to get worse with further early release schemes.
