I'm really excited to be published on Romper today, talking about my fear of how people see me and my sweet, perfect only child. Thanks to @meaghano for wonderful edits! romper.com/parenting/am-i…

The other day a parent who’s a social worker came into my kid’s class to talk about it. That night he came home and said “you guys help the community too, right?” and we had to be like no son, mommy and daddy work in advertising

NOT VOTING FOR KAMALA WILL NOT STOP THE GENOCIDE OF PALESTINIANS. YOUR CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR PROTEST VOTE IS FOOD FOR YOUR PRIVILEGE ALONE AND HELPS NO ONE AND NOTHING. PUT DOWN YOUR EGO, BUCK THE FUCK UP, VOTE DEMOCRAT AND DO YOUR GODDAMNED PATRIOTIC DUTY

my friend was telling me about a bar she went to where a bird pooped on her. "When I told the waitress and asked for another napkin, she was like "oh yeah, birds always poop on the person sitting in that seat."

Whenever my almost 4 year-old encounters a sticker, he diligently peels it off and sticks it onto the shirt he’s currently wearing as if that’s just what has to be done.

I love candy more than most people in this world, which is why it is tough for me to have a kid allergic to so much candy. Read all about allergies on halloween scarymommy.com/parenting/i-lo…

I farted on the way to school last week and my 4 year-old said "you can't fart on the way to places. This is why daddy should take me."

all anyone can talk about on this app is this article I wrote for scary mommy about the cost of owning a pet!!! scarymommy.com/lifestyle/the-…

We re-did our entire kitchen but also put out an old Humpty Dumpty cookie jar from my husband’s childhood home and it’s really pulling focus in my group chats

A huge part of parenting that no one talks about is how often you have to sit on the floor, then get up to get something random, then sit back down on the floor, repeat forever. It’s one of the most important issues we’re currently facing

Now that everyone is in love with Glen Powell as a romantic lead, I must once again bring up Set It Up, one of our best modern romcoms ft incredible chemistry and pizza scene I think about far too often. Need him and Zoey Deutch to make at least 3 more romcoms together thanks

Last night I woke up my sleeping wife to tell her we had caught a mouse in our (no kill) trap, and then this AM to tell her Trump has COVID. As a Husband it’s our sworn duty to report the news at a National and local level.

When I was 10 years old I walked right out of my sneaker while exiting a scene at a local community theater and had to run back on stage to get it

re: campus speakers sucking, I agree that Jerry Seinfeld speaking would not be cool but my college graduation speaker was brilliant writer Julia Alvarez and she was in fact very cool

RT again!!!

In this house we believe that Mother’s Day and Father’s Day make more people feel bad than good!

I would say one of the hardest parts of being a writer today is how often I have to stop myself from saying "And just like that" which is something previous generations never had to deal with

I originally called this piece "The secret no one told me about birth and death? How boring they can be" — and then my incredible editor at Jenny Mag helped me shape it into something richer. Excited to have this piece up today! jennymag.com/2024/05/02/bir…

Hello! I've written a piece for the Guardian about childbirth and the illness that's transformed my body and life forever. There are some jokes in it though! I think. X

You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me etc (my mom sent me this text 1 second after I spelled it “unphased” in the family chat)
