Also in @cairngormsnews is @jonwud and @searchdogwillow finding dog’s bodies in the snow (and rain). Whilst the Scottish Highland weather is different from here in Yorkshire, @MRSearchDogsEng can be deployed anywhere in the UK, when they are needed. Excellent work!
Névé has been out with other stage 2 dogs to build his searching skills to clear large areas and find bodies. This has included working in coniferous woodlands, open mountain sides and learning some avalanche search skills - thanks to our amazing “dog’s bodies” who hid from us.

@HVMRT @MRSearchDogsEng Willow and Neve were guests at Donaldson's Vets Birchencliffe along with other SAR dogs, Ace, Abbie and Izzy, from @woodheadrescue Donaldson’s Vets treat the dogs for free, and have raised over £500 recenly. Amazing! @searchdogace @jonwud @Tinkadventures
Last night, @HVMRT were called by @YorksAmbulance to find and treat a teenage boy who had fallen from his bike, and could not be located. Using Phone Find tech, we located him near Butterly Res. above #Marsden. The casualty was treated for limb injuries, and given pain meds.
DOG FIND. Operational callout 80 for our volunteer handlers in 2023. Search Dog Wren of @Buxton_MRT found an elderly gentleman who got lost on open moorland and drifted into a deep gully before running out of energy and calling for help. 1/2

There has been a heroic effort during Storm Antoni by our volunteer dogsbodies today, hiding on Dartmoor for our dogs to find. This is Search Dog Wren finding Body Dave on Beardown Tor, during a beautiful Dartmoor summers daay.
