Today at 1:55 p.m. the UVA Chapel bells will toll to honor the lives of Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D'Sean Perry. The bells will ring the first verse of "Amazing Grace," followed by three chimes to remember each of these student-athletes. As we mark two years since…

Bring back civility in politics. #integrity

For some reason, I have been thinking about this moment a lot today. It's from John McCain in 2008 at a town hall. The woman begins to espouse conspiracy theories about Barack Obama's nationality. He immediately shuts it down. "No ma'am. He's a decent family man."

Do research that is good for your soul! I am committed to research that addresses health disparities, elevates equity, and amplifies the narratives that are often untold. Check out some of the recent publications that I have been fortunate to be a part of. #EquityScholar

Great working with Roy and this team!

The first paper from my PhD is out! Even after adjusting for demographic, medical, and socioeconomic factors, Black Medicare beneficiaries had *42% lower odds* of using outpatient PT after hip fractures compared to White beneficiaries. jospt.org/doi/10.2519/jo… @UM_Epi @UMSOMPTRS

Great working with this rockstar team! We hope this article is helpful as PT Education programs work to more intentionally integrate justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and antiracism into their curricula, policies, and practices. @AStreet03292966 @KyleCovPT

Check out this publication that is finally out with @JOPTEjournal . It was a pleasure to get to work with @TiffanyDPT and Allison Hemstreet on this important work. @DukeDPT #FacultyResidency journals.lww.com/jopte/fulltext…

Words of affirmation matter. Especially on the days when you question the impact that you’re having on people and places. The amazing humans in the #DukeDPTSDP 2024 cohort wrote these kind words for me and I’ve looked at them daily when in my office. Kindness heals.

I am proud of me. Nevertheless, she persisted. The last few weeks have been extremely challenging. Old me would be beating myself up about lectures not going as planned. Current me is patting myself on the back for showing up and doing my best, while growing a human. #Grace
