One piece of humorous Boston ephemera that I really wish existed is a bumper sticker in the style of "This Car Climbed Mt. Washington" that reads "This Car Climbed Mt. Whoredom".
This effect is happening across 2d animation generally because of computers. Hand drawn animation is inherently less precise, so animators compensated with bigger motions and stronger poses. Digital allows for much more precision, so bosses got myopically nitpicky
