Predominantly white (private) schools are not physically or emotionally safe for Black kids. The psychological harm that happens in those spaces is not worth the “education”. We need to rethink our ideas on a good education and expand our ideas on safety.
A lot of Black people are starting to talk about immigrants the way white people talk about Black people. Don’t

One day I hope someone asks “for real” why underrepresented minority talent is leaving academia and corporate places. These orgs are abusing folks and taking good years of professional lives if people allow it. It’s part of a strategic, oppressive plan. 1/
You deserve places and spaces and people where you can show up without armor. Let the healing begin.

Twitter fam, thank you for helping me to find the family of the 9 year old girl from NJ who had the police called on her by her neighbor for collecting lantern flies. I connected with them & invited them to @yale for a Black girl led Science Tour! Yesterday—HISTORY was MADE (1/)

A growing number of Black parents are choosing homeschooling for their kids’ education. @ahylton26 shares the story.
