***NEW EPISODE! Gaslighting Ukraine Part VIII: Russia’s Revisionist History of ‘NATO Expansion.’ thehistoriansquarterly.com/latest-issue #NATO #Ukraine #ukrainwar #gaslighting #russia #history #historymatters #TheHistoriansQuarterly

In a parallel universe, Republicans are hysterically complaining on how this level of appeasement will lead to #WWIII

Meanwhile in Russia: an unnamed member of Trump's transition team reportedly told Russian state media that Trump might lift sanctions against Russia & normalize trade/economic relations. I'm assuming this would be in addition to Ukraine's territorial concessions. What a bargain.

Since September 2022, our editor @TimothyHoltgre1 begun a 10 part series on Russia’s history of “Gaslighting Ukraine.” From ancient past to today, this series tackles the main historical lies Russia tells the world about itself and Ukraine. Start from the beginning! Episode 1…

It’s comical how the Kremlin can release such headlines without batting an eye. They need a new gimmick.

Not only was NATO not responsible for Russian aggression, western leaders are only to blame if for appeasing it. Every concession to Russia is an invitation for more aggression. #ATACMS #LetUkraineStrikeBackNoLimits #LetUkraineStrikeBack #Russia

Nuclear fear mongering is perhaps Russia’s most successful psyop ever. In reality Putin’s red lines are fictitious.

“If Ukraine is forced to cede land to Russia in exchange for peace, Vladimir Putin’s entire invasion will be legitimized and his imperial appetite will only grow.” atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainea…

NATO did NOT provoke Russia. Please for love of God do not buy into this nonsense. 1) Russian aggression towards Ukraine predates NATO’s existence. 2) Russian aggression post 1991 predates NATO enlargement. 3) The “not an inch” reference was meant only for east Germany.…

Interesting

Using familiar language from Tsarist imperialism, Putin portrays Russia as a protector of ethnic slavs or other national minorities in foreign lands once under its sphere of influence, or the “Russian World.” Conversely, there is nothing benevolent in Moscow’s intentions. By…

MAGA commentators are calling concerned Americans “hysterical” when we make the exact same claim.

Meanwhile in Russia: state TV host Evgeny Popov commented on Trump's picks and said that none of them are friends of Russia — except for Tulsi Gabbard. youtu.be/2DY795fElwU

The most overused analogy by @TulsiGabbard and other accomplices to the NATO ‘expansion’ narrative is the false equivalency of Mexican or Cuban alliance with US adversaries. The problem with such an analogy is that it can only make argumentative sense if the United States had…

Sounds like a divide and conquer culture war to distract the public from his authoritarian policies, while declaring war on the educated. Pol Pot would be jealous.

Crimea is not, nor ever was Russian. To allow #Crimea to fall into Russian hands is to fulfill Stalin’s genocidal goal for Crimeans. thehistoriansquarterly.com/spring-2024

Only Russia can invade you and say it’s your fault. Only Russia can use corruption to buy influence to such a degree, and turn around and accuse their victims. Only Russia can break every single treaty with Ukraine and influence the west to believe that another treaty is…
