The NFL is partnering with mobile esports platform Skillz ($SKLZ) to crowdsource a future NFL mobile game. Developers will compete against each other in Q2 for the right to develop the game. The interesting part? The NFL has equity in Skillz through their VC fund 32 Equity.
Nike and the NFL are partnering for a $5M girls flag football grant initiative to grow the sport within high schools. The multi-year effort will provide a one-time donation of $100,000 in product to state athletic associations that offer girls flag football.
