Christ is both my position and my possession. He is my ‘situation’. I’m in Him. I have Him. That’s my reality.
I’ll let my children decide for themselves what they want to be. I’m not teaching or forcing anything on them. They need to make their own choices, learn their own things, and be who they want to be.
“God is working on him” ≠ stay with him. P.S.: This isn’t merely about relationships.
So weird that we Christian’s aren’t interested in changing our ways. We’d rather create ‘Christian fun’ and appease fleshly desires with ‘Christian music and stuff.’ We just want to dance and shake bumbum. It’s all about us. Really. Christian things worship and honour God.
When you don’t get the miracle you desire, never forget that you already have the biggest miracle you didn’t deserve: Christ in you!
Eri Mos @elonmusk is going to make an Iron Man suit next and I can finally live in a world where The Avengers truly exist. Let them keep the fighting out of Lagos though. We don’t know how to rebuild that fast.
This phase of my life can probably pass for “how not to pastor”. The lessons are huge. 😮💨 I’m glad for every time I’ve turned down a pastoral role because I realise how easy it is to trivialise the responsibility it places on the one who stands to teach and pastor.
