This line in the story really jumps out at me: “The charges were brought to VOCM’s attention by a provincial government official”. Could they be that low/vindictive as to leak this because John had the guts to challenge the Govt?
I see zero reason why horses were brought in to remove protesters. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to govt… fishermen have been slowly increasing the strength of their message bc govt isn’t hearing them. I’m not concerned for horse’s safety, these guys are trained for this.

When private corporations run health care services, their goal is to make a profit. Handing $22 million in public funds over to a private, American healthcare company will only serve to further privatize & erode our public healthcare system in NL.
Privatization is not the answer. While virtual care may have a place in supplementing, in person, primary care – this arrangement means healthcare funds will be siphoned off to an American Company in the form of profits. #nlpoli
