PR folks! I’m available for mock reviews + consulting. I’ve been professionally reviewing games for ~10yrs and have extensive experience with RPGs in particular; I also play shooters, racers, and sports. Please contact me if you have current or upcoming work! Portfolio + info ⬇️
I know we’ve rightly talked a lot about the rampant layoffs in the video games industry, but we really need to pay attention to what’s happening in the games media space. Fewer voices than ever before, fewer outlets than ever before. It’s not good for the devs or players.
Hey! I wrote my first preview for GameSpot. Very grateful to @tamoorh for allowing me to head to San Diego to play Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero!

While I’m taking on some consulting and freelance opportunities in the interim, I’m eagerly looking for my next full-time opportunity! Mostly looking for editorial, community, PR/comms, or internal quality evaluation. Let’s talk if you have a way for us to work together in mind!
Wait… who’s that I see? 👀!
I reviewed Visions of Mana for IGN! It isn't perfect, but I found it to be a charming and incredibly fun RPG that does a great job at bringing Mana to the modern age thanks to its beautiful aesthetic, deeply rewarding class system, and flashy combat. ign.com/articles/visio…
I have a massive exclusive feature about one of the biggest fall games that I'm shopping around if any editors would like to discuss that further 🙏🏼
PSA for all YouTube creators (Please RT!): It is more important than EVER to have your email in your bio—and in your 'About' section on YouTub—because YouTube has completely removed our ability to get your email address from the platform. No email, no opportunities. Pass it on.
I'm between projects and available for mock reviews + consulting work! If you are currently looking for a mock reviewer or want to talk about potential opportunities in the future, my contact info is here (or feel free to DM!): linktr.ee/nickransbottom RTs are appreciated! 🙂

Any editors out there looking to have someone cover SMT V: Vengeance? Perhaps from someone with 10yrs of experience and an extensive knowledge of JRPGs? Because if so... 👀 📁⬇️ muckrack.com/nick-ransbottom

Thank you again to the 150+ people who pitched us books! As is usually the case, about a third of them came in the final three days. If you didn't quite make the deadline, go ahead and send your pitch -- but we really do need it by tomorrow at the latest
This is the most correct anyone has ever been. I honestly think Excitebots is one of the top 3 games on Wii. I would give anything for a new Excite game — specifically a new Excitebots.
15 years ago Nintendo released one of its best racing games ever, and nobody cared. Here's why Excitebots: Trick Racing deserves another chance. pastemagazine.com/games/nintendo…
Not only did I just lose my job at IGN but I was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive cancer. I've never been one to ask for charity, but I'm broke, dying, and desperate. If you've enjoyed my work over the years, please consider contributing to my gofundme. gofund.me/843db22f
