Mark Chapman should without question be the new main presenter of Match of the Day. He’s been trained up for years doing MOTD 2 and FA Cup coverage. The show doesn’t need a revamp, you promote upwards.
I’ve just been told that Talking Doctor Who has now been sorted for a return to iPlayer - and lo & behold, it’s back! Panic over. It was only gone for a few days. And now back! (I’ve also been asked to remind people that it’s actually the norm for things to be sorted yearly!)
I think not including colour animations with The Collection would make a lot of sense. Stops the disc count being silly and gives the original animation releases an exclusive. It’s a reason to double dip and keep funding up.
The Gary Lineker situation is an interesting one. Personally I think he was on too much money for the amount of airtime he has. He’s done the show for 25 years and it’s probably time for someone new. However there’s no getting away from his talent as a presenter.
Before watching, I was wondering how a making-of Blake’s 7 would work. Answer, superbly. A good number of new interviews plus an excellent use of archive. @ChrisChapman81 has knocked it out of the park once again. Blake’s 7 fans are in for a real treat.
