#OTD in 1942, USS Juneau was sunk, claiming the lives of the five Sullivan brothers. Their deaths led to the Sole Survivor Policy that protects members of a family from the draft or combat duty if they have already lost a family member. The wreck of the Juneau was found in 2018.
