like... imagine letting your students learn things for whatever purpose they want? including.... for fun? why does everything have to be in pursuit of the goddamn grind?

1. HTML/CSS 2. JavaScript 3. Python 4. C 5. C++ 6. PHP 7. SQL (Query analysis & optimalisation) 8. C# (.NET 3.5 - 7.0/Blazor/ASP.NET/MAUI/Linq) Hilarious to see no one in the replies knows C#. It's one of the nicest, most workable & most useful languages available.

in what order did you learn your languages? 1. python 2. R 3. haskell 4. C 5. rust 6. scheme 7. {java,type}script 8. clojure 9. scala 10. java 11. idris 12. go

In other news, yesterday I went to Rotterdam to see the Pink Floyd tribute @PinkProjectband with my dad. Didn't take any pictures during the show because I was so incredibly impressed by their performance. Great sound, awesome show!

My little brother put real beer right next to my 0% stash... fuck me. I should've looked at the label before drinking an entire bottle. I can already feel the effects 🙃

Need to decide if spending 300 euros to travel to Belgium to mosh for 2 days straight is worth it

PHP fun fact: built-in functions that you'd expect to be of return type void, actually always return 1.

I ran 'integral domain' through a thesaurus and got 'paramount realm' and honestly it's an improvement

Dear crossword, That's exactly the opposite of what a parameter is supposed to do. Sincerely, MT

Finally reading some (basic) papers about the ideal class group in more detail. I didn't expect to find it very interesting, but it really is :) For now it's just finding structure of a ring given a small class number, but we're gonna slowly work our way up to the general case.

Today I talked to a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. He told me he was doing a MSc. CS. and was using category theory among other things (having no clue I am into mathematics) I then hit him w "a monad is a monoid in the category of endofunctors amirite" and his face LIT up

My parents got me a weirdass bug, it's pretty cool🤘

Very strong opening to a math video. Ok, you have my attention.

Apparently, my father knows what the Picard group is o_O is this common knowledge or something? is this hobby of mine not an interest born of my own soul, but inherited from his?! am I real?!?!

Day 3 of getting trained for my job. I had NO clue what the fuck I was signing up for. At least it's fun?

I have a face now... no more Collatz tree as a profile pic. I'm over it! I also have a name (finally revealing what MT stands for), and I changed my banner. New banner image is just a random graph from my thesis. No more Hartshorne definition of a sheaf, I know better now!
