Psilocybe weraroa is a potent psychoactive species of fungus from the cool temperate rainforests of New Zealand. It produces a cap that doesn't open - a convergent trait among a few NZ fungi. It is thought this could possibly be an adaptation to spore dispersal by slugs & snails.

Hi, everyone!! I know it's been a while since I last posted, but I'm almost done with my first year of university, and I thought I'd drop in and see how everyone's doing!! I've likely forgotten who many of you are with how much time has passed, so please be patient with me!!

The race for which of our late hedychium would open first has a winner. This highly scented beauty with huge flowers came to us as H. ‘Palani’, but does not match the descriptions either in literature or in USA websites. Some research to do, but that aside it is lovely.

Just look at the markings on this dinner plate-sized Aristolochia gigantea I saw at Kew today 😯

Thought I’d share this cool find. 3 years ago I discovered this odd bulb on a small island in the Bahamas. I did a little research today and found out it’s likely Hymenocallis arenicola. Not much info available and I sadly couldn’t bring it home. Would love to see it again.

Hi guys, it’s been a while. Just wanted to say that I’m alive. Still into plants but I haven’t had much motivation to post anything. The greenhouse looked great this year so I thought I’d share it with you all. Much love from California!!

Man, I’ve been pretty silent lately. I’ll change that. I finally got a job at a local plant store, so luckily I’m been busy with plants all day!! My greenhouse looks really nice this year too! I can’t wait to show y’all.

Can you find the cactus? At first I couldn't. The 103° heat didn't help. Astrophytum asterias is a rare cactus that grows in South Texas & Tamaulipas, MX. It recesses into the ground to escape the sun & heat. It is threatened by habitat destruction, land clearing & poaching.

This seller is stupid. And whoever inevitably buys this highly overpriced plant is also incredibly stupid.
