Useful meeting with @USSU discussing concerns of students in #Brighton. Student poverty is hitting hard and recent Govt announcements like 50 per cent bus fare rise, tuition fees increase and exclusion of students in Renters' Rights Bill won't help. Lots to work on together ✊

I wrote to @brightonhovecc in August to support @ACORN_Brighton's excellent Boot the Bailiff campaign. Good to see the council responding positively, and hope the review promised leads to positive change

Brighton Pavilion MP @sianberry has just introduced a bill in parliament, that would ban local councils and other public authorities from using pesticides in villages, towns and cities. This is a huge step forward! We hope to see cross-party support for the bill.
