I went over, BUT the point is that this is a growing, global, fungal threat that requires us to step it up across multiple fronts (diagnostics, surveillance, cleaning/disinfection, healthcare IPC). P.S. here’s the EPA link epa.gov/pesticide-regi…
This is disgusting.
Cigna uses an automated system that allows “medical directors” (doctors employed by @Cigna) to deny a claim in 1.2 seconds without opening the patient’s file. Please read this, share it, and help us (metaphorically) burn these companies to the ground.
Lost the relationship I thought would be my last, started grad school, then unexpectedly lost my mom and have been fighting to find myself since.

This is so poignant
After taking tons of tests over the years, I have honed a study technique that works well for me. And hopefully, it works for you too! A thread on the study technique that got me through med school, residency, fellowship, and one of the hardest board exams I’ve ever taken:🧵📚
Happy Social Work month! I am so grateful for all of you.
This is what we need more of.
I was a children's doctor She was my patient. A 1 yr old girl We did everything we could to save her but still, she died. I hid & cried Then, I wiped my eyes & got on with it. Because that's what we do as drs, we get on with it But an hour later something amazing happened...
Your abuse was not your fault. Nope, not even in that circumstance that just popped into your head. Nope, not even for that victim-blamey reason someone threw at you once (or twice or a hundred times). Nope, not even a little bit, actually. Your abuse was not your fault.
Back from a nearly 6 month hiatus after losing my mommy unexpectedly in May. Navigating grief of this magnitude is unlike any I’ve imagined. Looking forward to your posts. Cute animals, funny jokes???
Sometimes we talk about abuse as if it just is what it is-- but we actually know that abuse often escalates over time as trauma bonds form, abusers get more emboldened & entitled...& victims get more isolated & exhausted. It's happening to someone reading this now.
Heading to Denver! Because of my organ donor I get to see my daughter graduate college #liverrecipient #Thankful #BeADonor #greatestgift #triookla
Nobody thinks deep, measured breathing & soothing self-talk's gonna "solve" the problem of being triggered. We START there because it's hard to realistically manage a trauma reaction if we're taking panicked gulps of air & screaming at ourselves we're f*cked.
I need men to understand going to therapy isn't a sign of weakness.
PSA from a neuropsychologist: Therapy is NOT just reserved for “When Sh*t Hits the Fan” In fact, it’s most effective when it’s about all the moments in between when we get to curate our coping skills toolbox for when we need it most.
Abortions often save lives. Additionally our system is broken, and not set up to care for children born from unwanted pregnancies. This is a death sentence for many women and children. If I can understand, why can’t they? - a sterile woman who only wanted to be a mom.
