In the news an italian doctor mentioned that there was a lack of oxygen sockets. Here's a little trick our EM residents devised for that issue in Sudan.. We hope it helps! Praying for you! #italylockdown #Italy #COVID19 #Covid_19 #COVID19italia #CoronaVirusUpdate #Coronavirus

This might be a silly question but...running D5W at 150cc/hr gives you about how many grams of glucose/hr?

For HFNC you can have your oxygen FiO2 set very low while you have increased flow… Therefore you’re not making a patient hyperoxic, but trying to support an increase minute ventilation through wash out of the anatomic dead space

There’s no high-level evidence to help guide us… This is going to be a clinical decision at the bedside… However, a blanket statement that we should never give by carbonate and DKA is also not correct

Thank you @hagahmedmd I have been absent from socials for a while now due to the unforseen circumstances that placed many of us amidst a very real violent conflict (war) in my hometown claiming many lives and displacing thousands .. i ask that we pray for Sudan .. tough times!

Thinking of @TahaMD_EM and everyone in #Sudan who is fighting for peace, justice and unity. My heart breaks seeing the devastation, destruction, and loss of life in my African home😔 #sudanviolence

I don’t have a dog so I always turn up an hour early for my retrieval night shift The way the day doc’s face lights up when you arrive must be just like when your dog greets you at the door
