this pivot was always idealistic, not pragmatic. it cost her the momentum she had w the base that biden had left unenthused. they took regular dem constituencies for granted and lost millions of votes to the couch. ppl wanted to change, she gave them more biden + liz cheney!

At least per exit polls, Harris's center pivot toward independents and Cheney Republicans seems like it got her less than nothing: -1% from Biden's share of Republican identifiers, -5% from Biden's share of independents.

i dont want to say i told you so, but this run to the moderates looks like a spectacular failure. "lethal military," muscular border policy, and parading liz cheney didn't swing votes in dems favor and only worked to normalize republican positions.
