Leveraging the funding and knowledge provided by the New Zealand Embassy in Addis, the Gursum Wareda community is actively cultivating their farms to enhance food production. they are sharing these valuable skills and knowledge with their neighbors.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous New Zealand Embassy in Addis for their investment in agricultural inputs and tools for farmers in Gursum Wareda. This support has been pivotal in their second successful harvest of crops, including tomatoes and maize.
Excited to announce that @TAAKULO in collaboration with @SOSCVSomaliland ,are launching a project to advance climate-smart agriculture. This Project aims to enhance food security and livelihoods in displacement-affected communities in Burao IDPs.
Rural water supply systems require the utmost investment in Somaliland. In partnership with @Welthungerhilfe and #BMZ, TAAKULO is establishing sustainable water systems and water accountability measures with HH distribution pipped network in Awdal region.
TAAKULO has advanced the easy use of Barkads by integrating hand-pumps in the water fetching points in Sool and Togdheer regions. This is a pilot initiative with the aim of using technology as catalyst to ease the access of water for users in rural areas. @Welthungerhilfe
Thanks to Newzealand Embassy in Addis Ababa @nzinethiopia for funding this project in Gabagebo in Somalia Region of Ethiopia. The community has enjoyed food security and harvested vegetables and cash crops. They are marketing their surplus to the market in Jijiga .
Community are enjoying of cultivating their farms seedlings with onions, Tomatoes and maize with the help of @nzinethiopia . They are transferring knowledge to the other farmers in their neighborhoods. This is the impact and results of Newzealand Embassy funds.@UKinEthiopia
