The controversial finish between Christopher Bell and William Byron at Martinsville showed why NASCAR's playoff system needs a radical overhaul NASCAR is no longer competing with the NFL for eyeballs. It's time to reward a champion in a much fairer way sports.yahoo.com/nascars-contro…
Hated it when it came out. Hated it when I benefitted from it. Hate it to this day. It's just not the way to crown a champion.
More and more convinced that the first F1 team to combine some US short track racers into their team will come up with this sort of solution faster then their competitors.
There is another storm brewing in the paddock. Red Bull suspects McLaren and a few other teams of filling water into the tyres to prevent them from overheating during the race. We've got the whole story. AMuS (in German): auto-motor-und-sport.de/formel-1/mclar…

Dale if you ever want to have an emo night let me know. The Early November, The Starting Line, and Thrice are some nice deeper emo cuts there. And that much Angels and Airwaves is chef's kiss. Well done sir.

BREAKING: Max Verstappen has been punished by the FIA for using bad language during Thursday’s press conference in Singapore, with the Red Bull driver now obliged “to accomplish some work of public interest” 🚨
Probably the 3rd test I ever went to as a professional. 228mph into T3 with mid corner speeds down around 175. Rear brakes were damn near on fire because the normal 2014 package didn't have much braking requirements. Fun day.
August 18, 2014: One day after Jeff Gordon won at Michigan, NASCAR held a special test session at the track, trying high horsepower and small spoilers. It was said that cars were reaching 225+ mph into turn 1. 🤯

Listen, I operate a short track racing website in my free time and have a very high tolerance for all the rubbin' is racin' affiliated idioms but this one crossed a line, NASCAR. sportsnaut.com/weaver-this-on…
Although we can’t unsee it now, I believe NASCAR will ultimately see this as a missed real-time enforcement moment to define what is unacceptable. Because should-be heroes being steered down a path and rewarded for doing “unheroic” things really isn’t how anyone wants to trend.
