This afternoon during the BC Fire Leadership Conference, Fire Chief de Roy and Local 4550 President Sparrow participated in a great panel discussion on the importance of building positive labour relations.

Our ff’s took time out of their day today to pause and reflect on our countries shared history with our indigenous communities. Asher’s crew acknowledges the importance of understanding and the need for continued dialogue, education and action.
Today the #TLFD took time to remember all those who lost their lives on this most horrible day 23 years ago. The 343 FDNY firefighters, the police and first responders and civilians who perished that morning will never be forgotten. Keeping their families in our hearts forever!
The BCPFFA will never forget the 343 FDNY members who lost their lives during the worst terrorist attack in American history. We also honour the families of our fallen heroes and remember those who have since succumbed to World Trade Center-related illnesses.
