Due to weather conditions we are postponing tonight's light up the Pier event until tomorrow evening at 6pm. If you have purchased a ticket for Sat night you will be permitted access to Sun or, due to the cancellation, you may apply for a refund. The event until 10pm on Sun.
Another excellent day of progress to report – the ferry has passed its tow survey, with preparations now being made for its overnight return on Sunday. Weather permitting, we’ll be back in Dorset early on Monday morning to begin final testing on the chains.
We’re delighted to report that the ferry passed today’s MCA safety inspection. The final elements of the work are underway, ahead of tomorrow’s tow inspection, to be able to schedule our overnight return to Dorset this coming Sunday, arriving early on Monday.
Following yesterday’s work on fitting the shafts and couplings, today and tomorrow will see the fitting of the segments to the ferry’s drive wheels and the preparation of the ferry for MCA and insurance sign-off later this week, prior to the planned tow back to Dorset
