Pay by mile for electric vehicles makes sense, because these do not currently contribute with any equivalence to the extra taxes that the Petrol/Diesel vehicles pay. The Petrol/Diesel vehicles all currently pay tax by mile via the high taxes on their fuel.

This is terrible and unnecessary. We are being punished for the failings of those trusted to manage budgets and our taxes appropriately. Why are we being punished, what about them?
