One guess at the ECB’s roadmap is: 1) intro the Hundred franchises to take power/£ away from counties 2) create “independent” board to just say “yes” 3) cut # of FC games 4) cut # of FC counties (merger/closure) to 8-10 franchises 5) get outside investors to fund the franchises.

This could well mean that no one will take on the franchises that the ECB currently own and that the format will not be able to be sold abroad. This ECB abomination may now slowly die and ECB can do what should have been done ie promote and sell the Blast.
