Sad stories don't draw us to sobriety anymore unless something is uniquely sad about it. In search of compelling sad stories, our empathy ignores things blowing off light in people's life. Humanity has found a theater for creative sorrow, entertaining enough for our attention.
On the left is a man brought to court in handcuffs to face trial for writing about corruption while on the right is a man who was brought to court on alleged 110.4 billion naira fraud. The Nigerian reality. Will the world understand? Will generations to come understand?
It's difficult to find conviction when no one genuinely reminds you of how amazing your life is. Take this as a reminder, that despite the storms your sail has had to take, your life is amazing. 🌻

This people are on the streets, working hard, finding means, facing mentality derailing challenges and losing almost every passing day of their lives. Yet you'll see them again tomorrow; unfortunate lot who would rather take their loss as a routine than a final verdict.
Everything that should make a great story in this country is nipped in the bud and turned into a good sad story.

Napoli did Victor Osimhen dirties. I remember when people were encouraging Osimhen to leave that club, immediately after they won the league but that boy stayed faithful to that club. Now they just woke up one morning and decided to turn their back on him. Shit is really painful.
