A model of burst-like activity provides a tool for verifying a long-held assumption about turbulent flow: that turbulence is isotropic on small scales. go.aps.org/4eYxSrW

Glad to be part of this very important paper.
Exciting findings from the cloud seeding experiments during CAIPEEX, entitled 'Identifying the seeding signature in cloud particles from hydrometeor residuals,' is published in Atmos. Meas. Tech., 17, 2387–2400, 2024. Read the full paper at : doi.org/10.5194/amt-17… @moesgoi
A nice paper on the estimation of wall shear stress without explicitly accounting for the mean velocity profile. It has potential in atmospheric applications, where the estimation of surface stress is always a challenge and Sonic anemometer measurements are rarely accurate.

Very happy to be part of this important paper and also quite fortunate to participate in this experiment.
Can we make artificial rains to mitigate droughts? @iitmpune @moesgoi conducted 2 yrs of cloud observations using 2 aircrafts to understand physical processes of artificial rains Here is the paper: journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/… It provides technical guidance for cloud seeding
I agree with this the most. It's important to set the story straight at first before jumping onto writing. In that way, the writing will not be convoluted and will easy to understand.
#3: Telling your mentees that they should tell a story in their paper without defining what that is 🎬 I see this alllll the time. “Story” means everything and nothing if you don’t specify which exact elements the paper needs to include to tell said story.
