Very interesting.
This 40-year old PCG cover is about as period as it gets. It was promoting a painfully unfunny "US vs UK" video game feature which I remember reading at the time and wincing at while also being puzzled why anyone thought this cover would appeal to gamers vs. an actual game cover.

35 years ago, I reviewed NES Cobra Triangle. Programmed by Rare, this isometric boat racer/shooter was fantastic. Of course being a Rare game, it was as hard as nails, but it had that arcade quality look and feel that made investing time in it very rewarding and worthwhile.
