Once again sharing this thread of over 100 incredible, prominent women from Aotearoa who support trans rights. There were literally thousands of women who spoke out in support of trans rights at last year's rallies. Don't let Winston Peters claim he speaks for women on this.

Here's a thread of prominent New Zealand women who have publicly shown their support for our trans community 🧵 1. Folk singing comedy & activist duo Jools and Lynda Topp aka The Topp Twins.

Some more context you might not be aware of is that before the Treaty Principles Bill speeches began, Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke asked the Speaker for a speaking slot and was denied. Te iwi Māori will be heard! Illustration by Huriana Kopeke-Te Aho

🔥Timeline cleanse: Spectacular drone footage of Hīkoi Mō te Tiriti making its way south through Kirikiriroa, Hamilton yesterday captured by onetakemedia. #ToitūTeTiriti 🫶🏼

The MP who led yesterday's haka in parliament says it was the last tool in their toolkit to have their voices heard. Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke says "we didn't get the opportunity to challenge the bill as much as we would have liked to through point of orders, speeches & debates"

Shame on you David Seymour. Yesterday was the Treaty Principles Bill's first reading. This is what I had to say.

Yesterday thousands of protestors on the Hīkoi Mō Te Tiriti made their way south through Kirikiriroa, Hamilton to Rotorua. The hīkoi is now almost at the halfway mark of its journey south to Parliament where they will arrive on Tuesday.

The way I love them so much for this!

Today's hīkoi looks set to have made history as organisers say 25,000 protestors crossed Auckland's Harbour Bridge. The record numbers came out in protest of David Seymour's divisive Treaty Principles Bill which will be introduced in Parliament tomorrow.

How incredible to see yesterday's haka in parliament make global news. Kia kaha to the @Maori_Party and the @NZGreens & @nzlabour MPs who stood up to David Seymour's divisive Treaty Principles Bill in parliament - ka rawe!!! ♥️🤍🖤

This is so badass 🔥

I love the way Hana ripped the bill and chucked it back to him like 'here, come pick your bill up off the ground, bitch' lmao

WHAKA ROUND FIND OUT. 🖤🤍♥️

Here's a better angle that shows the @Maori_Party performing the haka right up in David Seymour's face. He looks shit scared.

Parliament suspended after floor-shaking haka by Te Pāti Māori

You sold your soul to the ACT Party, you believe the bill is divisive but you wanted power so much you put yourself first before indigenous people, you knew shit was going to happen, even if it was only going to select committee. You rotten sell out bastards. #TreatyBill

First it was toast, now Health NZ’s leaders have to jump in and save Milo from National’s short-sighted penny pinching. Next they should save the hundreds of jobs being cut despite the objections of local service managers. This government is taking our health system backwards.

What I'd just say to you is, I really thought me saying the Treaty Principles bill was Labour's fault was 3d chess level genius. Unfortunately #SlimySimeon used my line in front of McAnulty. #LyinLuxon #CoalitionOfCorruption
