Are you talking about the Roseburg transfers or Adelanto?

As the Sheldon delegate used to cheer, now they jeer. Weird. We could probably delve into some socioeconomic and racial aspects here, but alas.

Fans not filing in for the Cup?

I’m kinda diggin’ the Blazers in-season tournament court. Pretty, pretty good. #RipCity

No doubt, been hearing about it for months and will only get more interesting next year, but would have been good to have some media shine light on it so folks know all sides of the story.

It’s certainly an interesting situation. There are a lot of burnt bridges here locally.

High school sports can get petty man, and local football coaches at a few levels have been outspoken about the transfer portal at Willamette. All legal, but be a good story for any local journalist willing to dig in.

Underreported locally but Willamette brought in 20+ transfers and I’d heard about other coaches ire & they got their revenge as despite Wolverines going 7-1 in league, they got 1 player on 1st team all league. UO commit Tony Cumberland, easily best defender in MWL, was 2nd team.

RIP John Robinson. Was honored to interview him 5 years ago when ex-UO All-American Jim Shanley died. Robby was great, we chatted a long time and appreciated his stories. registerguard.com/story/sports/c…

Jacob Breeland on UO sideline hugging Patrick Herbert. That’s a longer connection than usual of UO TEs that once played together.

As someone who watched Myers career begin as Sports Idol at Joggers more years ago than I care to recall, bummed to hear this but look forward to listening where he lands next.

Some bad news, today was my last day at @RipCityRadio620 but life is too short to be bitter, instead I am thankful for anyone who took time out of their day to listen to me every morning. I am also forever grateful for @ChadinRipCity for enjoying he’s done for me!🧵

Last year, Oregon faced Penix x2, Caleb Williams, Cam Ward and Shadeur Sanders in conference games. Won’t face a QB who can sniff that group in B10 this season.

Former @EugeneEmeralds star

The Chicago White Sox plan to hire Will Venable as their manager, sources tell me and @JesseRogersESPN

Fernando spent a few nights at Civic Stadium when his son played for @EugeneEmeralds in 2004, as I recalled here in The Eugene Emeralds Encyclopedia. Fans were in awe.

25-25 in red zone with 24 TDs is ridiculous no matter who the opponents have been.

Props to Day. Not a lot of coaches meet media on way into hotel night before game. Heck, not many home coaches meet media day before game. Giving media that traveled a little extra access in a day many outlets have stopped traveling is cool.

.@ryandaytime right off the bus here in Eugene roughly 25 hours before his @OhioStateFB takes on @oregonfootball in a midseason showdown of 2 vs 3 respectively, and - yes - Big Ten collision.

Correct. Although I’m not sure practice reports from media getting 25 minutes watching the boys go through stretching drills is the best example here.

And yet these types of articles will get more reach than actual practice reports and articles that hold the program accountable.

On some level, sure - probably a little. I just think you're overreacting a little. Although the larger point that good local/regional journalism (sports & otherwise) is a dying craft really is a drag.
