Safety. Opportunity. Hope. Because of you, these things are being offered to the unhoused members of the Austin community. A rising tide lifts all boats, and we are grateful for each of you for making waves with us on Amplify Austin, and beyond! amplifyatx.org/organizations/…

Thank you to our 100+ participants at the keynote speech @HeyOpenEd this morning, who listened to @MiaZamoraPhD and @Bali_Maha speak on the emergence and importance of equity, social justice in academia, community building, and so much more! #OpenEd20 #unboundeq #edtech

I've been testing different teleprompter apps for the ipad, PromptSmart is so cool! It automatically advances with your words using it's speech identification, it will really help for my instructional video project.

I love this program!

Help us find loving homes for our pets! Every semester, ACC Vet Tech students, faculty, and staff care for and treat shelter animals from the region. As the semester ends, they need your help finding a home!

In the end, Austin is a good case study for why the achievement gap is so hard to close in American schools. Millions of dollars have been spent, dozens of studies have been done, and yet the problem remains. kutne.ws/2FZaXx1

Wow I just learned about Moxie the robot nurse assistant. I can't believe it's already out there, I'd be pretty surprised as a patient if I saw a robot rolling by! digitaltrends.com/cool-tech/moxi… Seems a step up from The American's Mail Robot.

Looking at stock photography and wondering if people working together really high five that much.

"How and why academics do and do not use iPads for academic teaching?" by Olaojo Aiyegbayo really made it clear that educators are using ipads for Enhancement rather than Transformation

I tried two different apps that look at the anatomical structure of the brain, 3D Brain and Brain Tutor 3D. I thought the later was a bit easier to manipulate and work as a model. The other one was really low res.

The best educational app I came across today was "Show Me" which allows users to easily markup a photo or white space, record their voice simultaneously, and easily share with others.
