Hiked out to Lud's Church yesterday, and let me tell you, the vibes were VIBING. This enormous chasm was used as a secret place of worship by followers of Wycliffe in the 15th century, and is also believed to have inspired the Green Chapel where Sir Gawain meets the Green Knight

The best protection this heritage asset and piece of Black Country history could receive is to be put back into active use. Given the recent disaster of the Crooked House this should be of special importance!
The house where the Gunpowder Plot unravelled has been added to our #HeritageAtRisk Register. Built in around 1600, Holbeche House in Dudley was owned by Stephen Lyttelton – one of the plotters executed for his role in the attempted treason against King James I in 1605.
