When I was a Policy Analyst in BC. I happened to be at the same event and same table as John. When he found out I was from Peterborough he lit up and shared his immense lacrosse knowledge with me. He was so down to earth and easygoing it was hard to believe he was a politician.

BREAKING: Former B.C. premier John Horgan has died at the age of 65, CBC News has confirmed. cbc.ca/news/canada/br…

Chloe Primerano is ready for the big time. Hockey Canada should put her on the next Women’s World Champuonship roster.

Maybe the @CityPtbo can do this too and maybe also start winterizing some washrooms? Having them closed mid Oct mid May makes it difficult for those like my family who use parks during those month and discourages others from using parks all year like we do.

Open for the season! 80% of park washrooms are open—earlier than expected. The remaining will be opened over the next week. We are ahead of schedule this year thanks to the tremendous efforts of City staff.

When I’m on these on-street patios I often think about how much more enjoyable they’d be with less traffic speeding by. Examiner editorial: Opening George and Water streets to two-way traffic is a simple first step Ptbo needs to make thepeterboroughexaminer.com/opinion/editor… via @ptboexaminer

Watching the impact of the young players on both teams in the #WomensWorlds final today, I’m looking forward to watching Chloe Primerano when she joins #TeamCanada in the near future. She was spectacular at the U18s.

This trilingual sign at the new location of the @CndnCanoeMuseum is really cool!

Like my old man always told me; “Theres no such thing as old music and new music, just good music and bad!”

Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” has reached #1 on US iTunes after a live performance with Luke Combs at the #GRAMMYs, nearly 36 years since release.

Just watched Ed Broadbent’s state funeral and was struck by the respect he engendered across the political spectrum. Apparently, as per this video from his return to politics, he also had a great sense of humour. m.youtube.com/watch?v=V9WCNb…

I think this is a necessary step towards the density needed for improved transit, reduced car dependency, and improving the cost effectiveness of services.

Mayor Jeff Leal wants council to consider ruling out exclusionary zoning in Peterborough — zoning that only allows single-detached or semi-detached homes, on properties (to the exclusion of other housing forms). thepeterboroughexaminer.com/news/council/p…

While it hard to see so many players from last year’s championship team go, I don’t think I’ve been more excited for a game all season. The young core (four 2007 born #OHL first round picks) will position the #petes to compete for a championship again very soon. Go Petes Go!

#Petes lines tonight Taylor-Melee-McCallum Young-Purdeller-Addy Cadorin-Lefebrve-Page Faulkner-Partidge-Binnie Matejicek-Cameron Haley-Ladds Strohack-Gauvreau Sztuska starts

I told my daughter about halfway through the third that carrying the play doesn’t really matter at the end of the game unless you can score. Unfortunately #TeamCanada couldn’t do it today (but only the 3rd time in 26 years we have lost in the quarters at #WorldJuniors)

The inaugural @thepwhlofficial game today on @cbcsports was outstanding from top to bottom. As a father and as a fan of the game, thanks to everyone who made this happen.

I usually dislike when people do this at a game but omg Shoot the Puck! This overpassing is killing us. #teamcanada #worldjuniors

That #teamcanada game at #worldjuniors illustrates the pitfalls of having so many elite players. Instead of taking shots to generate rebounds or deflections they were trying to always trying to make the perfect shot. Make that adjustment and play that game again and we can win.

With 7 points in the first two games of the season it looks like maybe Jax Dubois read Brock’s thread about being a breakout player for the #petes this year!

Won't have the time to do this one tomorrow, so how about tonight! It's time for my annual thread highlighting a breakout player from each OHL team. Typically (if you go through my tweet history), these have been very accurate. Let's get started ahead of tomorrow's puck drop.

Crowd gathering at ⁦@PtboAirport⁩ to welcome the Mighty Maroon and White home from the #memorialcup. Go #petes Go!

"We spent every single second together, and that's why we won a championship. Why we won is because of a brotherhood." Brennan Othmann reflects on @PetesOHLhockey's chemistry and camaraderie following the team's final game together 🎥

It hurts but there’s absolutely nothing for these guys to hang their heads about. What a season. What a team! Go #Petes Go!
